Find the exact list on the domain detail panel's blocklist shield. File a delisting request with that list (Spamhaus, SURBL, etc. each have a form). Fix whatever caused the listing — usually a spam complaint spike, bad list, or infrastructure issue. Contact support for help — Winnr handles the delisting paperwork for major lists.
Priority order
1. Identify which list. Domain detail panel → Blocklist shield. Shows every list checked and the status.
2. Assess damage. Sending from a blocklisted domain will underperform severely. Pause campaigns on that domain.
3. File delisting. Each list has its own form. Winnr can help — contact support@winnr.app.
4. Fix the underlying cause. Delisting without fixing the cause = relisting shortly after.
Common causes
- Spam complaints. Recipients marking your emails as spam. Rate above 0.1% is worrying; above 0.3% is dangerous.
- Bad list. Sending to invalid addresses generates bounces and complaints. Verify lists before sending.
- Content triggers. Spammy subject lines, misleading claims, unsubscribe difficulty.
- Volume spike. Sudden 10x jump in send volume looks like a compromised sender.
- Infrastructure issue. Rare — Winnr's IP pool has a listing that affected your domain. Usually resolves platform-side within hours.
What to send during delisting
Nothing from the blocklisted domain. Real sends will hit spam and generate more complaints, prolonging the listing.
Use your other domains if you have them. If not, pause all campaigns for 24-72 hours while delisting processes.
Preventing future listings
- Verify lists. Use email verification tools (NeverBounce, ZeroBounce, Kickbox) before every campaign.
- Monitor complaint rate. If a campaign generates complaints, kill it fast.
- Warm properly. Under-warmed mailboxes are more likely to trigger listings.
- Diversify domains. Spreading load across 5+ domains means one listing doesn't kill your campaigns.
- Watch the marketplace blocklist status if you buy pre-warmed. Winnr filters bad domains from the marketplace, but confirm on your side too.

Frequently asked questions
Which lists matter most?
Spamhaus DBL and SURBL are the two that every major provider (Gmail, Microsoft, Yahoo, iCloud) checks. Being on either tanks deliverability immediately. Minor lists (SORBS, URIBL grey) matter less — some providers ignore them entirely.
How long does delisting take?
Depends on the list. Spamhaus is usually 24-72 hours after a valid delisting request. SURBL — similar. Smaller lists can take a week. Some lists auto-expire listings after a period without new violations.
Will Winnr file the delisting for me?
For the major lists (Spamhaus, SURBL), yes — Winnr's team files delisting requests as part of support. Contact support@winnr.app.
What if I get relisted after delisting?
The underlying cause wasn't fixed. Look at what you were sending in the days leading up to relisting. Almost always — high complaint rate, bad list, or content issue.
Can I keep sending during delisting?
Not from that domain — messages will still hit spam. Pause campaigns on the domain until delisting completes. Sending from your other domains continues normally.
