Quick answer

Winnr checks every marketplace domain against 9 major blocklists — Spamhaus, SURBL, SORBS, and others. Domains flagged on a major blocklist are usually removed from inventory. The green shield icon next to each listing = clean across all checked lists. Click the shield to see the detailed report — which lists were checked, when, and any minor-list flags.

What "clean" means

A green shield means the domain isn't on any of the checked blocklists as of the last scan. Timing matters — a domain that was clean 24 hours ago might get listed later, and vice versa. Scans are refreshed regularly.

Types of blocklists

Domain blocklists (DBLs) — Spamhaus DBL, SURBL. Check the domain itself.

URI blocklists — check URLs in email bodies. Winnr checks the marketplace domain against these too.

Reputation-based — SORBS and similar. Broader "seen doing bad things" flags. Less strict criteria for listing, so more false positives.

What happens if a domain you own gets listed

  1. Winnr detects the listing during periodic recheck.
  2. You get an email notification (if enabled in Settings).
  3. Sending from mailboxes on that domain is likely to hit spam widely.
  4. Delisting requests can be filed with each blocklist — some are automated, some require manual submission.

Why marketplace domains rarely get flagged

Frequently asked questions

What blocklists does Winnr check?

The major ones — Spamhaus DBL, SURBL, SORBS, plus several other domain and URI reputation lists (nine in total). The exact list changes as new blocklists emerge and old ones lose relevance.

What if a domain gets listed after I buy it?

Blocklist status can change over time. Winnr rechecks all your active domains periodically. If one gets listed, you'll get a notification and Winnr can help with delisting requests.

Are all blocklist flags equal?

No. Spamhaus and SURBL are the ones every major provider checks — being on them tanks deliverability immediately. Smaller lists (SORBS spam trap DB and other niche reputation lists) are used by fewer providers and have less impact. Yellow icons usually mean minor-list flags.

Can I check a domain I already own against blocklists?

Yes — every domain in your Domains list has a blocklist status shield too. Click for the report. Free with your subscription.

How often are checks refreshed?

Marketplace listings are rechecked frequently. Your owned domains are checked less often but still on a regular cycle. You can force a recheck any time from a domain's detail panel.
