No. Per-mailbox view queries the mailbox's IMAP directly when you open it. Universal inbox is a separate feature that pre-syncs many mailboxes for the unified feed.

Live — the view pulls current IMAP state each time you open it. No lag.
Can I reply from here?
No. Per-mailbox view is read-only, same as universal inbox. Use your sending tool or a mail client to reply.
What if the mailbox has thousands of messages?
The view loads your recent messages and lets you paginate. For full inbox management, use a proper mail client with the IMAP credentials.
