Use the "Forward" bulk action to catch any incoming email at that domain and forward it to a real inbox. Both are optional but recommended for burner domains: a bare unresolved apex looks suspicious to spam filters and to any recipient who visits it.
Why redirects matter for cold email
Recipients who receive a cold email sometimes visit the sender's domain to check if it's real. A bare or parked domain says "this is fake." A redirect to your main website says "this is a marketing domain for a legitimate company."
Spam filters use the same signal. Domains with a live website (even one that just redirects) score better than bare ones.
Redirect vs. forwarding — different things
Redirect is for web traffic. Someone visits https://yourdomain.com in a browser → they get sent to your target URL.
Forwarding is for email. Someone sends to anything@yourdomain.com → it lands in your real inbox.
You typically want both. They're independent — you can set one without the other.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need both a redirect and forwarding?
Recommended for burner domains — makes them look like real businesses. Not required. Domains with no redirect return a blank page or a "domain parked" placeholder, which spam filters can flag as suspicious over time.
What if my main website is on the same domain?
Then you don't need a redirect — visitors are already going to a real site. This applies to Bring-Your-Own-Domain setups where you also use the domain for your main site.
Where do forwarded emails go?
Wherever you point them. Common destinations — a Google Workspace inbox at your main domain, a shared team inbox, or a personal address. Forwarding preserves the sender info so you can reply.
Can I set different forwards for different addresses?
